Our staff of board-certified dermatopathologists work to provide a 24-48 hour turn-around time for all results. Each result report is well organized with a photomicrograph. The diagnosis is in bold print to provide easy access to the most significant data.

Suspicious, unusual, and malignant cases are reviewed daily with an intradepartmental consultation with our board certified dermatopathologists. If appropriate, cases may be referred to a third party for outside consultation at no additional charge to the patient.
Our Technology
Reliance is dedicated to utilizing state of the art technology and information to produce quality results. Reliance provides technology services for a variety of regular and special stains to include:

• Immunohistochemical stains
for dermatologic tumors
(S-100,HMB45, MEL-A,
FXIIIa, etc.
• Special stains and molecular
studies for cutaneous
lymphoma (CD3, CD20, PCR
for T/B cell gene
rearrangements)
• Histochemical stains for fungus
Our Dermatopathology Department is directed by
Dr. Robert Csere. Dr. Csere is a consultant in pathology and dermatopathlogy for the 6th Medical Group, MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. He is a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology and the American society of Dermatology. He is committed to education and routinely provides pathology training to dermatology residents.
Dr. Dong Lin-Xie is board certified in dermatopathology and joined the Reliance team in 2002. She received her medical degree from Shanghai Medical University and completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Xie was a clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida from 1999 to 2001. She is well known and respected by dermatologists throughout the United States as a result of her diagnostic expertise and direct communication with clinicians.
