Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland.  He completed residencies in Internal Medicine and in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Wilford Hall Medical Center and completed a fellowship in neuropathology at the University of California in San Francisco.  He also received military education from the United States Air Force Air War College in 2001-2002.  He is a member of the American Association of Neuropathologists and of the International Congress of Neuropathology.
