He obtained his medical degree in 1991 and his Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology in 1996 from University Medical School of Debrecen, Hungary.  He completed his residency and fellowship in surgical pathology at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, where he subsequently served as both Assistant Professor and Attending Pathologist.  Most recently, Dr. Acs was an Associate Professor, as well as an Attending Pathologist, at the Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute at the University of South Florida.   He is a recognized expert in breast and gynecologic pathology and has been the recipient of countless grants and awards related to such research.  He joined Ruffolo, Hooper, & Associates in 2009.  He is a member of several professional organizations including the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the International Society of Breast Pathology, the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists, and is a fellow of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the College of American Pathologists.
