Americo Gonzalvo, M.D. Board Certifications •  Anatomic and Clinical Pathology •  Neuropathology •  Cytopathology Education •  University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain Biography Dr. Gonzalvo is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, neuropathology, and cytopathology. He received his medical degree from the University of Madrid and completed an internal medicine internship and an anatomic and clinical pathology residency in 1973 and a fellowship in neuropathology in 1975, both at Duke University. Dr. Gonzalvo served as Chief of Surgical Pathology at the V.A. Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.  He is a member of the College of American Pathologists, the American Pathology Foundation, the Florida Society of Pathology, and the United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology.
